What is Picasa ?

Picasa is an image organizer and image viewer for organizing and editing digital photos, plus an integrated photo-sharing website, originally created by a company named Lifescape in 2002 and owned by Google since 2004. "Picasa" is a blend of the name of Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the phrase mi casa (Spanish for "my house") and "pic" for pictures (personalized art). In July 2004, Google acquired Picasa from its original author and began offering it as freeware. Native applications for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X (Intel only) are available through Google Lab.

After that, next session is microsoft publisher by our friend is Nurul Ain Danyal . We learnt how to create a brochure for any event...Therefore , we have done and finally form our own brochure...

What is Microsoft Publisher?

The Microsoft Publisher desktop publishing software, which helps users turn out materials such as magazines, booklets and business cards, was broken out into a new version of the Microsoft Office Suite in 2010.

The advantages and disadvantages of Microsoft Publisher 

It offers a work environment that makes it easy to work with documents in a variety of sizes and shapes. It has a larger variety of tools to help you arrange and align text, images, and other objects within the page margins. However, it does not include the theme colors, advanced image editing tools, or many of the other new features present in Word and PowerPoint 2010.Very slow installation process.

Justification

I will use Microsoft Publisher because it is very easy to use, allow you to become creative, save time and money.

Cik Hajah Asmayati has tell us about Khan's Academy and she want us to have similar blog same like Khan's Academy that can be used as reference and provide more information related to any topics. 

My Application 

I have explored Khan Academy, which is a non-profit educational website created in 2006 by American educator Salman Khan, a graduate of MIT and Harvard Business School. Khan Academy mission is "providing a high quality education for anyone, anywhere". The website supplies a free online collection of more than 4,000 micro lectures via video tutorials stored on YouTube. There are also exercises to reinforce what you watch from the videos. I used Khan's video for my preparation to teach organic chemistry to naming organic compounds. From this video, its helps me to increase my content knowledge as well as gives ideas on how to explain this topic in my lecture class.

 The example of video is as follows:
